Grandma Mae Dok is an elephant with gentle eyes, and her true nature is just as gentle. Her name "Mae Dok" comes from her tail, which resembles a grass flower. For almost her entire life, Mae Dok "never got to rest." She started her life as a logging elephant, and when the logging industry closed, she transitioned to carrying tourists day after day. During that time, she lost her calf at just one year old, who was taken away to be trained in the same way. Until her elderly owner passed away at 108 years old, her descendants decided it was time for Grandma, an elephant of retirement age, to finally rest. Now, Mae Dok lives at BEES Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai, living naturally with her companion Mae Kam, truly having days of her own for the first time. You can be a part of Mae Dok's new life. Help care for this gentle female elephant and bring her happiness, just as she brought joy to people for almost her entire life. ...
