    Mayura

    Age: 36 years|
    Gender: Female|
Mae Waang District, Chiang Mai Province

Mayura — The melodious elephant, Gohgae's beloved daughter** 🧡 If there's an elephant that makes you smile just by seeing her, it must be Mayura, a lovely 36-year-old female elephant with a playful, bright personality, and always her mother “Gohgae”'s favorite. But behind her cheerfulness, Mayura has had a tough life. From a young age, Mayura and her mother had to work dragging logs near the Thai-Myanmar border before being repeatedly separated to work in different places. Later, even when she entered the tourism industry, Mayura's life was still full of training and living far from an elephant's natural habitat. Until the day Mayura arrived at ChangChill, this elephant's fate gradually changed. Mayura could forage for food and spend her days in the forest as an elephant should. Most importantly, Mayura was reunited with her mother Gohgae, never to be separated again. Be a part of this heartwarming story through the elephant adoption program and help many other elephants have the same opportunity as Mayura and Gohgae, experiencing the simple happiness that every elephant deserves.
