But behind her cheerfulness, Mayura has had a tough life. From a young age, Mayura and her mother had to work dragging logs near the Thai-Myanmar border before being repeatedly separated to work in different places. Later, even when she entered the tourism industry, Mayura's life was still full of training and living far from an elephant's natural habitat. Until the day Mayura arrived at ChangChill, this elephant's fate gradually changed. Mayura could forage for food and spend her days in the forest as an elephant should. Most importantly, Mayura was reunited with her mother Gohgae, never to be separated again.
